Things they are a changin'

Well, flushed from my success at shopping on the weekend comes walking from the train to work without stopping!!! Woohooooo!!! Usually I would start walking and then before the incline, stop, sit down and rest before going the rest of the way. So yesterday I didnt stop to prepare myself for the incline.... I just kept going. Hey I'm not going to lie... there was still some huffing and puffing when I got to the top but I felt great! So I thought I would write down 3 things that I can do better and 3 things that I would like to do better so I would have something to work towards.

Three things I can do better:
1. Walk from the train to work without stopping.
2. I can wear the seatbelt in my car without the extender (and I still
have room to spare!
3. I can take my bracelet off easily without lathering heaps of soap
on my wrist.

Three things I would like to do better:
1. Do more than 1min 30secs on the cross trainer continuously before having to take a break.
2. Fit into the train seat (with arms) without having to wiggle :-)
3. Buy an item of clothing off the rack (most of my clothes have come from Ebay or TradeMe
- NZ)

There, I think that those things are achievable in the near future.

  2. Thanks Martine :) I wanted to be completely honest about every little thing so every time something gets easier, or my thinking changes etc I can look back and say wow I have come a long way and I also want to be able to celebrate ALL my successes be they big or small.

  3. Congratulations on you walking up the incline without stopping. That's fantastic progress. I so love your goals and I know that you will achieve them sooner rather than later.

  6. You will do that stuff....and more. The sky is the limit. Coming from a mum who just spent a day at the school pool day and didn't feel massive, you will do it.

  7. Congrats Nicky! The first time I took the harder route up Castle Hill (and the second, and the third) I thought I would die, but it keeps getting easier and I keep having more and more energy. Go you!
